Inspiration Of The Bible
We believe that the whole Bible in the original writings is inspired of God,
the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, the only source of God's plan of salvation, and,
through the enlistment of the Holy Spirit, the only guide for the Christian life. (II Tim. 3:16-17, II Peter 1:21,
John 16:13, Matt. 24:35)
We also believe that the Lord has preserved His Word for believers down through the ages
so that we may have confidence in the Scriptures in our language. (Psalm 119:89-91) Belief In God We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matt. 28:19, Matt. 3:16-17, II Cor.13:14)
a. God The Father
We believe in God the Father, creator and sustainer of all things visible and invisible, Who is true holiness,
eternal power, infinite love, perfect justice, absolute truth, the Alpha and Omega, the "I AM THAT I AM."
(Gen. 1:1, Ex. 20:2-3, Ex. 3:14, Lev. 19:2, Rom. 1:20, Rom. 3:26, Titus 1:2, I John 4:8-9, Rev. 22:13)
b. God The Son
We believe in the deity and eternal existence of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God,
in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood,
in His bodily resurrection, in His bodily ascension to the right hand of the Father, where He ever liveth to make
intercession for His saints, in His premillenial coming for His saints, and in His return to the earth to reign in power
and glory. (Matt. 1:18, 22-23, Matt. 28:6, John 1:1, 14, Acts 1:9-11, Acts 10:38, I Thess. 4:13-18, Heb. 4:15, Heb. 7:25,
I Peter 1:19, Zech. 14:4-9)
c. God The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person Who moved on holy men of God to write the Scriptures, Who convicts
of sin, Who quickens in the new birth, Who seals and is the earnest of our inheritance, and Who indwells the believer with power
for holy living and service. (John 14:16-17, John 16:8-11, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Rom. 8:11, Eph. 1:13-14, II Peter 1:21)
Man's Creation, Fall, And Need Of Redemption We believe that man was created by God in His own image as given in the Genesis account; that through disobedience to God, man lost his first estate and thereby became a sinner in need of a Savior; and that since that time all men are born sinners, spiritually dead, alienated from God, and stand in need of personal redemption that is in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. (Gen. 1:26-27, Gen. 3:1-24, Psalm 51:5, Rom. 3:23-24, Rom. 5:12, Eph. 2:1, Eph. 4:18, Col. 1:14, Col. 1:21, Col. 2:13, Heb. 9:12) Blood Atonement For Sin
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace;
that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
shedding His blood on the cross as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice;
and that all who repent and believe in Him, receiving Him by faith as personal Savior,
are thereby justified on the ground of His shed blood. (Isa. 53:6, Matt. 9:13, John 1:12,
Acts 10:43, Acts 13:38, Acts 17:30, Rom. 4:4-5, Rom. 5:9, I Cor. 15:3, Eph. 1:7, Eph. 2:8,
Col. 2:6, Heb. 9:22) Personal New Birth
We believe that in order to be saved, all men being sinners must be born again.
We believe that all who recognize themselves as sinners and who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ
are born again of the Holy Spirit. We believe that this new birth is instantaneous, not a process;
and that it is brought about in a manner above our comprehension, solely by the power of the Holy Spirit
and the Word of God. We believe that in the new birth God justifies the believer and that the Holy Spirit
indwells the believer with the power for living and service. (John 1:12-13, Acts 16:30-34, Rom. 3:10, 23,
Rom. 6:23, Rom. 8:2, 33, I Cor. 6:19-20, II Cor. 5:17-18, Gal. 5:22-23, Titus 3:5-7, I Peter 1:23, Rev. 3:20,
Rev. 21:27) Justification
We believe that justification is a judicial act of God by which He imparts to the born again believer complete pardon of sins, the gift of eternal life; and imputes to the believer His own righteousness. We believe that justification is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which the believer has done, but solely because of his faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 5:24, John 6:47, Acts 13:38-39, Rom. 3:25, 4:5-8, 5:9, Phil. 3:8-9, Titus 3:5)
The Difference Between The Righteousness (Saved) and the Wicked (Unsaved)
We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the wicked. We believe the righteous to be those who have been born again of the Spirit of God through faith in the shed blood of Lord Jesus Christ, and the wicked to be those who have never been born of the Spirit of God. We believe that the righteous are assured of eternal life with the Lord Jesus Christ; whereas the wicked are destined to everlasting conscious suffering in a real and literal hell, eternally separated from God. (Psalm1:6, Mal. 3:18, Mark 9:43-48, Luke 16:19-31, John 3:3, 5, 18, Rom. 8:9, Gal. 3:26, I John 5:11-13, Rev. 20:15)
The Security Of The Believer
We believe that all who are truly born again are eternally secure since they have been saved by believing on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, and are kept by the power of God unto salvation. (John 10:26-29, Acts 16:31, Rom. 10:9-13, Rom. 8:31-39, II Cor. 1:22, Eph. 1:13, I Peter 1:3-5, I John 5:1, 13)
The Church
We believe that the only true church, the body of Christ, is a living organism made up of born again believers including those believers who have gone to be with the Lord.
The local church is made up of all members on its roll. Members are accepted on the basis of salvation, baptism, and desire to unite with the local assembly. The local church is the institution God has ordained to exhort, edify, and comfort the saints, as well as evangelize the lost. (Acts 2:47, Rom. 12:4-5, I Cor. 12 & 13, II Cor. 5:6-8, Eph. 5:30, Col. 1:18, I Thess. 4:13-18)
The Ordinances Of The Church
We believe that Christ as Head of the Church commanded two ordinances: baptism and the Lord's Supper.
a. Baptism
We believe that baptism, as taught in the Scriptures, is by immersion; it is not necessary for salvation, yet it is the privilege and duty of every child of God to follow the Lord in baptism as an open confession of his identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Mark 1:9, Luke 23:39-43, John 3:23, Acts 8:38-39, Acts 10:47-48, Rom. 6:3-5)
b. The Lord's Supper
We believe that the Lord's Supper is to be observed by born again believers in remembrance of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ until He comes, and should be preceded by self-examination. (Matt. 26:26-29, Luke 22:19-20, I Cor. 10:21, I Cor. 11:23-32)
The Resurrection Of The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His bodily ascension into Heaven where He is now at the right hand of God as our High Priest, Mediator, Intercessor, and Advocate. (Matt. 28:5-7, Mark 16:5-7, Luke 24:26-40, 50-51, John 20:27, Acts 1:9, Rom. 8:34, Heb. 1:3, 8:1, 9:15, I John 2:1)
The Lord's Second Coming
a. We believe that at present the Lord is taking out a people for His name and that those who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior constitute the Body of Christ which is His true Church. (John 1:12, Acts 2:29, Acts 15:14, Rom. 12:5, Eph. 1:22-23)
b. We believe that the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then the "living in Christ" which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (I Cor. 15:51-52, I Thess. 4:13-18)
c. We believe that true born again believers must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (Rom. 14:10, I Cor. 3:11-15, II Cor. 5:10, I Peter 4:17-18)
d. We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Mount of Olives following the great Tribulation for the purpose of setting up His Kingdom, which is a thousand year reign. (Matt. 24:29-31, Luke 21:24-31, Acts 1:11, Rev. 20:1-4, Zech. 14:4)
e. We believe that the unsaved dead shall be resurrected and judged by God, according to their works, at the Great White Throne, and whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life shall be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Rom. 2:12, 16, Rev. 20:11-15)
Satan
We believe in the existence and person of Satan who left his first estate in heaven to oppose God's purpose among men. His character is described in Scripture as wicked and evil. He is considered the father of lies, murder, and all manner of additional sin and should be resisted steadfastly by every believer. (Isa. 14:12-14, Ezek. 28:12-19, Matt. 4:1-11, Matt. 13:19, 39, John 8:44, James 5:7, Jude 8 & 9)
Demons
We believe that fallen angels known as demons also exist and oppose God's purpose for believers on the earth. They afflict God's people, execute Satan's purposes, and hinder the saved. (I Sam. 28:7-20, Matt. 12:26-27, Matt. 17:15-18, Matt. 25:41, Luke 13:16, I Cor. 6:3, Eph. 6:12, I Peter 2:4, Jude 6)
Angels
We believe in the existence of an innumerable host of angels who possess greater power than men. They are created beings without redemption. They minister to and protect the saints. (Matt. 13:32, Matt. 18:10, Col. 1-16, Heb. 1:14, Heb. 12:22, II Peter 2:11)
